Tico Ofertas international collector guide — from fandom to your collection

Buying Anime Figures from Abroad: A Collector’s Checklist

Finding an anime figure you love is the fun part. When you order from another country, checking the version, release status and delivery cost helps you decide with confidence.

This checklist is for collectors in the United States, Europe and other destinations exploring international orders with Tico Ofertas, a store based in Costa Rica.

1. Look beyond the character name

Two statues of the same character can be very different. Read the studio, scale or dimensions, material, included accessories and version. A large resin display piece may need more space and a different shipping quote than a smaller figure.

For example, the Black Clover Asta Demon Assimilation statue by Seven Studio features Asta, Liebe and an LED effects base. Use the current listing to check the full specifications, price and updates.

2. Separate stock, pre-orders and special orders

“In stock” relates to an item’s physical availability, subject to confirmation. A pre-order reserves an item awaiting release or arrival. A special order is sourced after supplier availability is checked. These schedules are different.

The Seven Studio Asta listing is a pre-order example with a release date currently to be announced. Confirm the latest estimate before purchasing. Reservation quantities do not mean the item is ready to ship.

3. Request shipping for your address

Send the product link, chosen version, quantity, country, city and postal code. Package dimensions and weight matter, particularly for large display statues. Ask for the available carrier, shipping charge and estimated transit once the item can be dispatched.

Tico Ofertas coordinates international options normally through DHL or FedEx where available. Your destination-specific quote confirms the option for your item. Ask which charges are included and whether any import or clearance charges may be payable at destination.

4. Understand the payment option

When offered, “Adelanto” means a deposit and “Un Pago” means full payment. Before reserving, confirm the full item price, initial payment, remaining balance, deadlines and cancellation terms.

The store’s base currency is Costa Rican colones, written as CRC or ₡. Check the actual transaction currency and your payment provider’s conversion details. PayPal is among the store’s listed options; confirm its availability for your order and destination.

5. Keep the details together

Save the written quote, product link, order number and payment receipts. Check that your delivery address is complete. Manufacturer release, order preparation and carrier transit are separate stages, so ask about the stage relevant to your item.

If checkout offers no shipping method for your address, contact the store before paying. If you need help understanding a Spanish listing, send its link with your question.

Your next step: Pick a collectible and request an availability and shipping quote. The English international buyer guide brings the shopping steps, example product and contact options together.
